1. Who We Are

Cattlebook is a mobile application operated by CattleBook. The app helps ranchers, farms, breeders, semen providers, and buyers display ranch profiles, animal information, animal media, semen and embryo service information, farm broadcasts, chat/inquiry options, and related cattle industry content.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

Cattlebook uses third-party providers to operate the service. These may include:

  • Firebase/Google services for file storage, cloud messaging/push notifications, analytics or crash reporting if enabled, and related app infrastructure.
  • Twilio for WhatsApp/phone authentication, verification messaging, and authentication delivery logs.
  • MongoDB or MongoDB Atlas for database hosting and backend data services.
  • Apple services such as App Store, TestFlight, push notification delivery infrastructure, and in-app purchase processing if enabled.

4. How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain user accounts and ranch/farm profiles.
  • Verify users and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Store and display animal, semen, embryo, event, media, and farm listing information.
  • Enable chat, inquiries, buyer interest, and customer support.
  • Send transactional notifications such as account verification, app messages, service alerts, and listing updates.
  • Analyze performance, fix bugs, improve app safety, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that process data for us, with other users when you intentionally publish a profile/listing/message, with authorities when legally required, or in connection with a business transfer such as merger or acquisition.

6. Public Listings and User Content

Information you publish as a ranch, farm, breeder, seller, service provider, or commenter may be visible to other app users. Do not publish private personal data, confidential farm data, or content you do not have rights to share.

7. Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to operate accounts, listings, media, chat records, legal compliance, security, dispute resolution, and backup purposes. Deleted account data is removed or de-identified unless retention is legally required or necessary for legitimate business purposes.

8. Account Deletion

Users can initiate account deletion from inside the app or by contacting Cattlebookapp@gmail.com. Deleting an account removes the account and associated data that we are not legally required to retain.

9. Children

Cattlebook is intended for business and livestock industry users and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us for removal.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We use reasonable safeguards required by applicable law.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted transport where supported, authentication controls, database permissions, and provider security features. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

12. Your Choices

  • Update profile and listing information inside the app.
  • Request account deletion.
  • Manage device notification permissions from iOS Settings.
  • Contact support to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date will be updated when changes are made.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Cattlebook, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

Cattlebook provides digital farm and cattle-industry tools, including ranch profiles, animal listings, sale/display tabs, semen and embryo service information, multimedia clips, farm broadcasts, events, comments, ratings, chat/inquiry tools, and related features.

3. Accounts and Verification

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • WhatsApp/phone verification may be used to confirm account access.
  • We may suspend accounts that appear fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, or in violation of these Terms.

4. User Content

You are responsible for photos, videos, animal data, semen data, prices, comments, messages, and other content you upload or submit. You represent that you own or have permission to use and publish that content.

  • Do not upload stolen, misleading, false, defamatory, obscene, abusive, illegal, or infringing content.
  • Do not impersonate another ranch, breeder, company, or individual.
  • Do not publish misleading animal health, genetic, pedigree, semen, embryo, or pricing information.
  • Do not misuse chat for spam, harassment, scams, or unlawful transactions.

5. Livestock Information Disclaimer

Cattlebook is an information and connection platform. We do not guarantee animal quality, health, fertility, semen performance, embryo viability, pedigree accuracy, sale completion, import/export eligibility, or buyer/seller reliability. Users must perform their own veterinary, legal, transport, payment, import/export, and commercial due diligence.

6. Transactions Between Users

Any sale, purchase, semen order, embryo order, ranch visit, veterinary claim, payment, shipment, import/export process, or service arrangement is between the users involved unless we expressly state otherwise in writing. We are not responsible for disputes between users.

7. Fees and Paid Features

We may offer free and paid features, advertising, promoted listings, subscriptions, or service charges. Any Apple in-app purchases or subscriptions must follow Apple payment rules where required.

8. Intellectual Property

Cattlebook, its branding, app design, software, databases, workflows, and original content are owned by CattleBook or licensed to us. You may not copy, reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or misuse the service.

9. License to User Content

By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting, transmit, and distribute the content as needed to operate, promote, moderate, and improve the app.

10. Prohibited Conduct

  • No illegal activity, fraud, scams, or deceptive listings.
  • No scraping, automated harvesting, or unauthorized database extraction.
  • No attacks, reverse engineering, malware, or attempts to bypass security.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or abuse.
  • No content that violates animal welfare laws or encourages unlawful conduct.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk to other users, harm the platform, or create legal exposure.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, transaction losses, animal losses, or user disputes.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, listing accuracy, transaction success, or user reliability.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Licence

CattleBook grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Cattlebook on Apple-branded products you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's App Store rules.

2. Ownership

Cattlebook, its software, design, databases, trademarks, and content are owned by CattleBook or licensed to us. This EULA does not transfer ownership.

3. Restrictions

  • Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, rent, lease, or distribute the app except as permitted by law.
  • Do not scrape, harvest, or extract the app database or user content.
  • Do not bypass security, authentication, subscription controls, or access restrictions.

4. User Content

You remain responsible for content you upload. You grant us permission to host and display that content as needed to operate the app.

5. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on Firebase, Twilio, MongoDB, Apple services, and other service providers. Their services may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices.

6. No Warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including transaction losses, animal losses, business interruption, or lost data.

8. Termination

This licence ends if you violate this EULA. We may suspend access consistent with our Terms of Use.

9. Apple Terms

If you do not provide a custom EULA in App Store Connect, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement may apply. Confirm your choice with your developer or legal advisor.

1. Purpose

This Account Deletion Policy explains how Cattlebook users can request deletion of their account and associated data.

2. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from inside the Cattlebook app:

  • Go to Manage → Edit profile → Delete Account
  • Alternatively, email us at Cattlebookapp@gmail.com to request deletion

3. What Happens When an Account Is Deleted

  • The user account is disabled or removed.
  • Personal profile details are deleted or de-identified unless retention is legally required.
  • Public listings, animal data, farm content, and media associated with the account are removed, transferred, or de-identified according to business and legal requirements.
  • Chat records may be deleted or retained in limited form where necessary for safety, dispute, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or records obligations.
  • Backups may retain deleted data for a limited backup lifecycle before automatic overwrite or deletion.

4. Data We May Retain

We may retain limited information if required for legal, tax, safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, or compliance reasons. Retained data is restricted to the minimum reasonably necessary.

5. Verification

For security, we may verify that the requester controls the account before deleting it. Verification may use the registered phone/WhatsApp number, email address, or in-app authenticated session.

6. Processing Time

Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable period required by applicable law and operational limitations. Some deleted data may remain in backups temporarily.

1. Purpose

Cattlebook includes user-generated content such as farm profiles, animal listings, photos, videos, comments, ratings, chat messages, semen/embryo service details, sale information, and event media. These guidelines protect users, animals, farms, and the integrity of the cattle industry marketplace.

2. Content Not Allowed

  • Fraudulent, false, or misleading animal, pedigree, semen, embryo, price, availability, or ranch information.
  • Stolen photos, videos, logos, farm names, animal records, or copyrighted material.
  • Harassment, threats, hate speech, intimidation, or abusive language.
  • Spam, scams, phishing, fake buyer/seller activity, or payment fraud.
  • Illegal animal trade, animal cruelty, or content encouraging violation of animal welfare, import/export, transport, or veterinary laws.
  • Sexual, obscene, graphic, or violent content unrelated to lawful livestock operations.
  • Private personal information posted without permission.

3. Reporting and Moderation

  • Users can report listings, comments, profiles, chat messages, ratings, or media.
  • Admins may review, restrict, remove, hide, or edit visibility of reported content.
  • Repeat offenders may be suspended or banned.
  • Urgent safety, fraud, or legal reports should be escalated to support/admin immediately.

4. Blocking and User Safety

Where chat or messaging is available, users have access to reasonable safety controls such as reporting, blocking, and support escalation.

5. Accuracy of Livestock Data

Users must make good-faith efforts to publish accurate animal records, photos, videos, health status, pedigree, semen/embryo availability, and pricing. Buyers must still perform independent verification before purchase.

We may remove content, suspend listings, limit messaging, disable accounts, or cooperate with authorities when required by law.

2. Data Protection Measures

  • Use HTTPS/TLS for data in transit.
  • Use provider-managed encryption at rest where supported by Firebase, Twilio, and MongoDB Atlas.
  • Restrict admin/database access using least-privilege roles.
  • Use environment variables/secrets management for API keys and connection strings.
  • Separate development, staging, and production environments.
  • Use Firebase Storage security rules and backend authorization checks.
  • Protect MongoDB with IP allowlists or private networking where possible, strong passwords/keys, and role-based permissions.
  • Log security events and review suspicious access patterns.
  • Back up important production data and test restoration.

3. Push Notifications

Notifications are used for transactional and relevant app purposes such as account verification, chat messages, listing updates, service inquiry alerts, and system messages. Users can control notification permissions through iOS Settings.

4. WhatsApp Authentication

Twilio is used to deliver verification messages. We store only the verification status and minimal authentication information necessary for account security. OTPs are not exposed in logs or support dashboards.

5. User Content and Media Controls

  • Users can report inappropriate listings, comments, ratings, chat messages, and media.
  • Admin tools are available to remove unlawful, misleading, or abusive content.
  • Unauthorized access to private user media or messages is not permitted.
  • Public vs private content behaviour is made clear to users within the app.

6. Incident Response

If a security or privacy incident occurs, we investigate promptly, restrict affected credentials or access, preserve evidence, notify impacted parties when legally required, and remediate the cause before restoring full service.

Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Cattlebook, developed and published by The Praetors, strictly and explicitly prohibits all forms of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on this platform. This prohibition is absolute, without exception, and applies to all users, content, and interactions on Cattlebook.

2. Our Commitment

The Praetors and Cattlebook are committed to maintaining a safe platform free from child sexual abuse and exploitation. Cattlebook is designed exclusively for livestock farmers, ranchers, breeders, and agricultural industry professionals. The platform has no features directed at or intended for children.

We explicitly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in all forms. Any content, behaviour, or activity that constitutes or facilitates CSAE is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate account termination, content removal, and cooperation with law enforcement.

3. Prohibited Content and Behaviour — CSAE

The following are strictly and explicitly prohibited on Cattlebook:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) of any kind, including photos, videos, illustrations, or any other media.
  • Any content that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors (persons under 18 years of age).
  • Grooming, solicitation, or predatory communication directed at minors.
  • Trafficking, recruitment, or enticement of minors for sexual purposes.
  • Sharing, distributing, linking to, or promoting CSAE material in any form.
  • Using Cattlebook's messaging, chat, or any communication feature to engage in CSAE-related conduct.
  • Any content that normalises, glorifies, or minimises child sexual abuse or exploitation.

4. Detection and Enforcement

The Praetors takes the following actions to detect, prevent, and respond to CSAE on Cattlebook:

  • User-generated content and communications are subject to moderation and review.
  • Users can report any suspected CSAE content or behaviour directly via the app or by email.
  • Any reported or detected CSAE content is removed immediately upon discovery.
  • Accounts found to be involved in CSAE are permanently suspended without notice.
  • We preserve evidence and cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and relevant reporting bodies.
  • Where legally required, we report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or equivalent authority in the applicable jurisdiction.

Cattlebook is intended for adults (18+) operating in the livestock and agricultural industry. The app is not directed at children. Users under 18 are not permitted to create accounts or use Cattlebook. If we become aware that a user is under 18, the account will be suspended.

This Child Safety Standards policy is publicly accessible at all times. It is published by The Praetors, the developer and publisher of Cattlebook on Google Play. The policy explicitly prohibits CSAE as required by Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
